Kahuam Films is an American film production company based in Los Angeles, founded in 2025 by Alex Kahuam, the award winning director - producer - writer.
The Remedy starring Timothy Granaderos (13 Reasons Why), London Thor (Gen V), Doug Jones (Shape of Water), Chris Mulkey (Whiplash) and Jenny O’Hara (Devil) will be Kahuam Films first title.
The CEO of Kahuam Films also overlooks the operations and has produced all the titles of the international film production company Promotora NAE, launched in 2017 in Mexico City, Mexico, which specializes in connecting Mexican-international co-productions. Inquire more HERE.

Alex Kahuam is an award-winning director, producer and writer, and a die-hard movie buff.
Since the launch of Promotora NAE films in Mexico City, the company has worked on multiple US-Mexico productions, where Alex was responsible for securing finance for the film, post-production, distribution and sales, all the meanwhile allowing him to understand about the business in the US, build a strong network and lasting partnerships around the world with highly reputable production companies, distributors, talent agencies and more.
His vision for his film production companies has always been to be a factory of bold, cinematic and entertaining films. He has continuously raised capital/ sold/ made deals and brought his Kahuam Films and Promotora NAE films projects to the biggest A-list film festivals and film markets in the world: Cannes, AFM, EFM, TIFF.

As the ears and eyes of Kahuam Films, Christin’s extensive knowledge of development comes from her 10+ ongoing years at the sporting goods company ILUUM as the Vice Chairman and Creative Director, where she is closely involved with the company’s management, strategic partnerships, distribution activities, sales acquisitions and is instrumental in guiding the overall branding, marketing, overseeing copyright, seeing a through line in crafting, designing and packaging the products.
Christin’s skills as the Vice President of Development are honed by her profile as an award-winning actress and writer, which has allowed her to read and play out an endless amount of screenplays, identify good writing from bad, perfect her own writing, crafting unique characters and intriguing content.
Working closely with Alex Kahuam since 2016, she oversees all stages of Kahuam Films development from conception to development, strategy, financing to distribution, and everything in between.

Jose is a reputable producer of many talents: with an impeccable taste in film he is invaluable in orchestrating a production, he’s a hands-on problem solver on field and in post-production. When we say post-production, we mean Jose can make magic.
Rodriguez is the post-producer of Kahuam Films first title The Remedy.So, You Want to Be a Gangster?, the first of many Promotora NAE films that Jose produced, marked the beginning of a lasting partnership between Rodriguez and Kahuam.
While producing other film productions with Alex, such as 165 Days in Quarantine, Red Light, Failure! he also continued producing projects on its own, including films, music videos and commercials in Los Angeles, Miami and Mexico. Some of those producing credits include: The Black Tape, multiple music videos for Warner Music for artist Alaya - Bling Bling | Video Oficial, music videos for Hollywood Records and Universal Music.
JOHN PAUL MEDRANO

John and Alex connected over the love of movies and since the early days of Alex’s filmmaking career John has collaborated with him as an actor and co-producer on short content, feature films and commercials.
Medrano is an associate producer on Kahuam Films first title The Remedy.
John is a veteran to traveling to A-list film markets such as Marche Du Film at Cannes film festival, AFM, Berlinale and selling Kahuam Films and Promotora NAE film projects. His co-producer credits include Failure!, Forgiveness, LAX, Johnny Red.
John’s invaluable skill as a person, in addition to producing is his commitment to making sure to work through all and any bumps on the road throughout the production.
The combination of his knowledge in current movie trends and his background as an actor, has given him a great intuition about identifying bankable talent.
